The Lazy Duchess is an upmarket self-catering guest house in a secure estate in Phakalane — one of the calmest addresses in Gaborone, and one of the few where you can leave a bakkie on the drive and not think about it twice.
The house has been finished in the way a well-travelled owner would finish their own home: proper linen, considered art, quiet colour palettes, and en-suite bathrooms in every room. Being self-catering means the kitchen is yours to use as you please — and the fridge is ready for what you bring back from Mowana Park or the shops at Airport Junction.
The pool is a proper one. The lounge is stocked with more novels than you'll get through. The Wi-Fi actually works. And with the A1 highway a few minutes away, you're wherever you need to be in Gaborone without the traffic.
